I just saw on the news that it is supposed to be 105 tomorrow........and with all of the smoke from the fires around the state, it is going to be a yucky day....You would think that living in the valley for my whole life, I would be used to the heat, but I'm more of a Fall kinda gal! Give me the pretty leaves, and cool breezes anytime!

So, yesterday the cement in out backyard looked like this....

When we bought our house, the pool was already in, with the cement all around......The back of the house is towards the west, so we get all of the afternoon sun, and it gets so hot, that we never want to go out there.....even with the pool!
In a couple of weeks we will be getting a patio cover across the whole back of the house!
We have been wanting to stain our cement, and decided that it would be better to do it before the cover gets here. After a little practicing on the side of the house last weekend, we did the whole backyard today........
It is a brown color with a little bit of yellowy gold, and a greenish gray called "Loden" ...which gives a bit of a coppery green patina to it in spots.
All we have left to do is add the protective
top coat......We really are happy with it, and it is so fulfilling to do a project like this. It will have cost only about $200.00 when it is done, but would have cost thousand if we had paid someone to do it!!
Can't wait to show the whole thing when it is done!

In Lake Tahoe! The weather was warm, and the sky was fairly clear....considering the fires in Northern California..........Alex and I went to my second cousin's graduation.(that would be my Cousin's Son!) He is a top notch skier, and goes all over the world, with sponsors and everything!! Watch for big things from him soon

Oh, and My cousins got a new dog ...he is about 10 months old now, and is the biggest thing I have ever seen...........
I am told that he weighs 130 lbs, and still will probably add about another 20!!!! He still acts like a puppy, which at that weight,, you better watch out when he wants to play!!!! He is pretty smart though.....the graduate taught him to ring a bell by the door when he needs to go out to go potty!! And, he shuts the door when he comes back in by leaning against it!!!
This gives you an idea about how big he is next to the kitchen table!!!
After the graduation on Friday, we headed across the pass to Sonora, so that we could be there for Fathers Day on Sunday................

I'm headed up to Lake Tahoe, for a cousin's high school graduation...then over the pass to Sonora for Father's day!!! Hopefully on Monday, I will have some beautiful pictures to share with you!!
Do Something Creative Everyday!
I forgot to post that on Friday when I weighed in at WW, I had lost 3 lbs last week!!!!!! YEA!!!!! The first three weeks were really frustrating.....down 1 lb., then up 1 the next, then down 1 again. Hey! I could do this up and down thing, and eat all the crap I had been eating before. Nevermind the double fiber bread, and the fat free cheese.......But Phew!, now I feel better, and hopefully that jumpstarted everything...........
As I mentioned a couple of posts ago, I recently joined Weight Watchers again. What I like about the program, is that you can eat most all they types of foods that you want. There are even good choices in many restaurants. But what about desserts you say? I do love my chocolate.....So last night, I made this.....
NO PUDGE! brownies. How cute is that!!! All you do is add vanilla yogurt. I got the mix at Trader Joe's.
I made them in a cupcake pan, so that there would be 12 servings, which is what it said on the box. That way I could figure out the WW points. Only 2 per brownie.
They are especially delishious topped with smashed rasberries. Chocolate and rasberry......what more could I ask for!!!
