Not PC Christmas Party....

Last weekend I went to my friend Sandi's annual Christmas Party... I always look forward to seeing her Sisters, Mom, and Aunts, who are all so sweet.  It is usually a somewhat elegant affair, but this year she decided to do it a little different! We were told to be, how to put it...trashy. Think stereotypical "trailer trash". It really was quite hilarious, in her beautiful Pottery Barn decorated house, and some went all out! I forgot to take my camera, so I will have to show you pics later, when she sends them to me.  Each year we do an ornament exchange, and I always make mine, of course.  I also love to wrap it beautifully and creatively each time.  This year however, It nearly killed me to "wrap" it in a WalMart bag tied up with masking tape! In side was a beautifully glittered beer can, with glittery flora, and a little bottle brush tree. (Actually it was kind cute!).  But my main orni was this one, which I loved, and wanted to keep for myself......

The genuine article....

The article about my Serendipity Silver came out in yesterday's paper. It was really great, and I got several calls, and several e-mails of people interested in either custom pieces, or having parties!  Go here to read it, and see the pics.

Have you ever had one of those days...

 No, not one of those bad days, but one where pretty much everything that happened was unusually great!?  I'm positive most of the time, and I am thankful for all the wonderful things, like the health of my family, the wonderful home that I live in, good friends, so It's not like I go around thinking "woe is me". But on Tuesday this week good stuff just kept coming!
  It actually started the day after Thanksgiving. On the way home from Sonora, I stopped in this beautiful store that I like to visit when I'm there, called Bella Vie (formerly Piazza).  The lovely owner, noticed the necklace that I was wearing.....
One of the initial charms that I make... and love to wear, because it looks good with everything.





Skip ahead to Tuesday, and she decided to order 25 charms for her store!!!! YEA!  Shortly after that, I was contacted by the Local paper, and they wanted to interview me for their business section...me being a new business and all.  Needless to say, it was shaping up to be an extra special day!
  Then, I took a little walk to the mailbox, and inside, I found the new copy of Somerset Studio Gallery...which had a Halloween wand that I had made in it!!  What a surprise, I didn't know it was going to be in there!  I'd say it was an exceptional day, wouldn't you?
