Leaving on a jet plane...

Well, as of this post, I am on my way to the airport to fly out to Utah for Art NEst!  And, now I can show you what I was making with all of those embroidered initials...




I embroidered them onto felted wool from an recycled sweater, and made little brooches out of them!  They are for my trades at Art Nest...and there are 30 of them!  I hope all the girls like them... they were super fun to make!

I just had to show you these cute doggie pics!  When my Finn gets tired of playing and wrestling with Riley, he goes under the coffee table/ottoman, to get away.  It was much easier when he was a little pup, but now that he is a one year old....

He has to scoot and shimmy to get under...









And then somehow he turns himself around, and peeks out!

the Gambler...

This weekend we went to Reno, on a bus trip with friends...Now I'm not much of a gambler, but it was fun anyway!  We had a full bar on board, plenty of food, and good company...what more can you ask for?!  Coming home however, the traffic was really bad, and chains were required going over the pass....
                                                      

                

       

     And, it was a good thing that we had several strapp'in (and good look'in) fireman to help with the chains on the way home...

The 2 1/2 - 3 hour trip took us about 8 hours!  YIKES!

Love it....

I do love getting a package in the mail!  Today I received these goodies....

 Seriously.  I started, something, and now I just can't stop!  MONOGRAMS...


Phew!  You can't even see them all in this picture...but I am almost done.  What they are gonna be when finished, is a surprise!

Valentines....

I bought some wool sweaters at the thrift store the other day, and washed them, so that I could play around with felted wool...  I made this little heart, for my Son's girlfriend...


It was fun to make a fou-fou something, and give it to a girl!, because for some reason, my Son is not that thrilled when I make him something like this!!

Oh, my little angel.....

I've said it before...

And I will say it again...Art friends are the best!  How do they know when you are having a crappy day?  You didn't blog about it, and they didn't talk to you on the phone, but somehow they just know, that when you go to the mailbox, and find something like this,



Then the furrow in your brow is gone, and a smile and warm feeling in your heart takes its place!

And, as if that wasn't good enough, look inside.
