Well, on Oct. 29th, I had my last chemo! Good thing too, because my poor little veins decided that they had had just about enough of the poking and prodding! It took a good 6 days to recoup this time... but at least I know that it is over.
So what's the Silver Carrot you ask? It's Silver Bella!, and it's a silvery, glittery one! For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a lovely art event that I have attended in Omaha, Nebraska (yes, I said Nebraska!), for the last 3 years. I signed up for it back in May...when I had been diagnosed, but didn't know that chemo would be part of my future. So all along, my goal was to finish chemo in time to go...and it's here! In two days, I will wing my way there, with my friend Colleen, to meet up with our roomies Lonnie and Stacy! Can't wait to see them, as well as so many wonderful friends that I have made there over the years!
P.S. I managed to make some "goods", like the necklace above to sell on vendor night!
The Silver Carrot for us is getting to see you too!! You did it Nat! So proud. . .
xxoo
