A couple of weeks ago, my husband went to the Channel Islands on a Lobster diving trip...these elusive little buggers are nocturnal, and are difficult to catch...sensing the water movement and scurrying under rocks to get away. He has gone the first week of October for the last couple of years, usually bringing home just a few. But this year was a little better haul for him...
The limit is 21, and he got 19! Pretty good....and very yummy!!
With the end of my chemo treatments in sight, I am looking forward to Silver Bella, and being a vendor at the Bella Market, once again. OK, who am I kidding..Silver Bella, has been the carrot that has been dangling in front of me since the beginning. If only I could make it all the way through, on time, and finish my treatments on the scheduled Oct 29th. After this Friday's chemo, I will have only 2 left...so, so far, so good!
I have been working on some jewelery, albeit very slowly. And although I may not have tons of stuff to sell, you can bet that what I will have will be lovely an artsy!!

I am teaching again, Spring 2011, at my friend, Terri Brush's Oregon Art Camp...and boy, and I looking forward to it! I have not only taught at Terri's camp, but also been to one, as a "camper", and just let me say, that you don't want to miss it!

Yippee! Yesterday was chemo #9... which means only 3 more of this weekly regimen, and then 4 of the next! (Those will be every other week). Plus, as a bonus, my white and red blood count were up!! So the transfusion, and the shots are doing their jobs.
Plus, the UCSF Medical Center Auxiliary is having a Fashion show, and live auction benefitting the Friend to Friend Fund, October 9th, and this week I made the above necklace for the Auction... hope people love it!!
I know that I have mentioned it before, but the messages that you leave me on my blogs, Facebook, and e-mails, are amazing, and help me to get through day by day. One local friend has left a card for me every Friday, so that it is there, when I get home from chemo...How sweet is that!? Some old friends, as well as new, have sent me lovely gifts. Totally unnecessary, but I am grateful none the less! All of you are blessings to me, and know that I am thankful...
If this looks familiar to any of you, it is because it came from Karin. Last year, she was going through what I am now, and wore this lovely crown, like the brave, funny, gal that she is. She sent this to me a couple of weeks ago...passing the torch, as it were! Along with a lovely little book that she made...

Yesterday, my dear Husband and I worked on the last of the flooring that we have been working on for weeks and weeks now! I had been doing the cutting, as he gave me the measurements, but pooped out by the last three rows! As I plopped myself on the couch, he forged on, and at 9:30 last night finished up!
Entry way, and into the living room...
Living room, into the Dining area! O.K., well, we still have the baseboards to do...
Which is why I started painting them in the morning shade yesterday... Boy oh boy, will I be glad to get my house back together again! (and the pile of furniture off the back patio!).
